Brendan A. de Montigny (b. Vancouver), native of Outaouais, holds a masters degree in fine arts from the University of Ottawa, a undergraduate degree from Concordia in painting and drawing with a minor in print media. His research on modernism and technological utopianism was published in the online peer reviewed magazine Drain with Christopher E. Payne. He has taught as a sessional professor at Algonquin College, the Ottawa School of Art, and has been a guest lecturer at Carleton University, the University of Ottawa, and at Concordia University. Brendan has also held positions at Canada Council for the Arts at the Art Bank, Jackpine, Galerie de Bellefeuille, Galerie St. Laurent + Hill, and Galerie LeRoyer.
Brendan has over 10 years of experience working with award winning emerging, mid-career, and established Canadian and International artists.
